Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp (16-20 count) deveined and peeled, tails left on

5 slices bacon, quartered (cut in half lengthwise and crosswise)

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

2 Tbsp soy sauce

1/4 tsp Garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

1 Tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler. Spray sheet pan with cooking spray.

  2. Wrap a slice of bacon around each shrimp, securing with toothpick, and arrange on pan.

  3. In small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  4. Brush half of mixture over top of each shrimp.

  5. Broil for 10-12 minutes, brush remaining sauce over shrimp halfway through, continue broiling until bacon is crisp and shrimp are cooked through.

  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Cook’s Note: Use a good quality bacon such as Nueske.
