Homemade Chocolate Frosty

Thick chocolate shakes hit the sweet treat reward button but lack nutrient density in micronutrients and protein.  My favorite plant-based smoothie mix is Realm.  I especially love the Bold Cocoa Smoothie mix. It’s completely real food ingredients, with nothing artificial, 18 grams of protein, and a good source of fiber and micronutrients. I typically make it as a regular smoothie but knowing its great creamy texture I thought about turning it into a nutrient-dense chocolate frosty!  The result…the sweet spot of taste and nutrition.  If you want to try it for yourself here is my discount code A4HEALTH15 (for 15% off) at www.realmfoods.com

Ingredients

1 package Bold Cocoa Smoothie mix

6 oz chocolate Oatmilk (or regular cow-based dairy choc milk)

¼ cup Greek yogurt (or cashew-based yogurt)

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup frozen berries (optional if you want more fruit flavor)

Instructions

1. Take all the ingredients and blend until smooth

2. Fill cup or container (can split into smaller cups for portion control)

3. Place in freezer for at least 4 hours.

4. Depending on texture preference after freezing you can add back to blender and mix for more of a milkshake consistency.
