Grand Marnier Almonds

Ingredients

2 Tbsp slivered almonds

1/2 cup apricot jam

2 Tbsp Grand Marnier

2 tsp sugar

2 containers strawberries-hulled

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 325°. Toast almonds on cookie sheet for 5 minutes

  2. Warm jam, grand marnier and sugar in a small saucepan. Pour through a sieve or strainer.

  3. Arrange strawberries in shallow ovenproof dish. Pour sieved grand marnier mixture over strawberries. Sprinkle almonds on top. Bake at 325°until thoroughly heated.

Cook’s Note -Hulling or coring strawberries=removing the green stem, or calyx, from the top of the berry—makes them more elegant and easier to eat when served plain. ... They should smell—you guessed it!—like strawberries.
