Happy Veteran Day & THANK YOU!

Yesterday, I was watching my favorite NFL pre-game football show, NFL GameDay! They honored Pat Tillman, the former NFL safety-turned-U.S. Army Ranger who was killed in Afghanistan in the spring of 2004. “NFL player Pat Tillman joined U.S. Army in 2002. He was killed in action in 2004. He fought for our country and our freedom”.

As many of you know, my husband is a veteran of Vietnam. I can’t even pretend to understand how he felt when he came home to a country that did not honor their vets. But I do understand that now, he proudly wears his veteran’s hat on certain occasions. He receives thanks from strangers who do appreciate the vets of Vietnam and every veteran that has lived and died since that war. Make a point to notice them and seek them out to give them a handshake or thank-you. If you live close enough to Minnesota, be sure to check out Minnesota Military Family Tribute; created by Bill & Teri Popp. Click here to see The Celebration.

So here are a few of my favorite veteran images and stories. Hug a vet today and every day. Salute Our Veterans - Freedom to Choose - We pledge allegiance to the flag & freedoms you fought for... - Seasons of a Soldier - May Their Memory Be a Blessing - Express Your Gratitude Tips!
