Today I found a great treasure hidden under some books on my desk. The Pioneers…by Dan Valentine was first written in 1959. Here’s a small window into what these pioneers expected and conquered. Today kicks off the first of many posts about these people who against all odds, never gave up!

Yesterday, I was watching my favorite NFL pre-game football show, NFL GameDay! They honored Pat Tillman, the former NFL safety-turned-U.S. Army Ranger who was killed in Afghanistan in the spring of 2004. “NFL player Pat Tillman joined U.S. Army in 2002. He was killed in action in 2004. He fought for our country and our freedom”. Honor a veteran today in your own unique way.
