The Birmingham-Cocktail

by Cindi SutterChief Communicator & Editor of Spirited Table® - Thanks to Guild Series for a Chamomile Gin that has swayed me to include this bottle of Gin in my liquor cabinet.

Spirited Table® is happy to present "The Birmingham Cocktail" - created by Terrance J. Akerson, better known as TJ to the guests at Mission American Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis!

1 1/2 oz. Guild Chamomile Flavored Gin

1 oz. Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit

1/3 oz. Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice

1/2 oz. Demarara Simple Syrup

  1. Pour Gin over ice, add fresh grapefruit juice and lime juice. Add a special ingredient, Demarara Simple Syrup. Shake and add a slice of grapefruit on the side. Drink responsibly.

Creator of The Birmingham-Terrance J. Akerson (TJ) - Bio

Over 20 years ago TJ began his bartending career with the expansive art of the profession-- spinning and tossing bottles, and all the flair. With TJ's profound awareness of the industry, he has rejected the conformity of the past and has developed his skills by truly crafting drinks. TJ's regular guests consider him a true "Jack of all trades."

Loving the outdoors as much as he does, and for his mental health, TJ also took up vegetable gardening where he blends the art and science of the process just like he does in his bartending. TJ is truly a person to sit and converse with at Mission. And ladies, we know you're asking, he's single and intends to stay that way. Cheers!

Guild Gin is the product of the unique partnership Watershed Distillery and Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and was previously only available in limited quantities at Watershed Distillery’s bottle shop and at The Guild House restaurant in Columbus’ Short North Arts District.
