Oscar Prep Movie Night

In anticipation of the Oscars, my goal, like every other movie aficionado in the USA, is to see as many of the nominated movies as possible, before 2/24 at 6 Pacific Time SHARP. No sharp is not a new time zone. So in order to make that happen asap, let’s discuss having at least one of these party nights below before 2/24.

How to Throw the Ultimate Oscar Prep Movie Night

I ripped a page out of an Oscar screenplay, added a dash of LA, for my Oscar party template. (Katie Chin get’s an assist for part of the foodie list).

Add some LA spirit to your next Movie Night with these award-worthy tips:

  1. Create a Popcorn Bar with gourmet seasonings

  2. Print "movie ticket" themed invites

  3. Create party favor buckets with Twizzlers, Raisinets, etc.

    2. Strawberries & chocolate for romantic comedies 

  6. Dress up in film genre costumes

  7. Serve cupcakes with mini clapboard trinkets on top

  8. Play movie night bingo by downloading cards available on-line
