Loon Organics Celebrates Market Opening

Loon Farm is back at The Mill City Farmers Market in downtown Minneapolis, and we are enjoying a joyous reunion with our customers and fellow vendors as we celebrate the 10th year of the market! It is vibrant community in a historic setting looking over the Mississippi River centered around good food, and this year we have a new spot right next to the weekly cooking demonstration area. The amazing market chefs cook a market-fresh dish on-site every week, and share recipes, tips, and samples with the crowd. I think it's one of the coolest things that our market has going on, and we get inspired each week by their delicious, healthy, and seasonal recipes.  

This week, we brought home some amazing fresh oyster and shitake mushrooms from a fellow vendor and promptly made a mushroom quiche. It's become our go-to quiche recipe, especially with farm-fresh spring eggs.
