French Negroni

by Cindi Sutter, Founder & Editor

Tasting Notes - Grand Brulot is special in that it changes and evolves throughout the drinking experience. This uniquely dry and smooth blend of VSOP cognac and coffee delivers flavor notes of nutmeg & vanilla with subtle honey aroma, combined with rich, roasted, dark & dense nose and flavor from 100% Robusta Espresso. There are initial notes of sweet orange, dark cacao, and vanilla bean at the forefront, followed by the burst of coffee —which is more akin to a freshly ground bean that would be used in an intense espresso. The tail end brings on spice and bitter notes that include hints of cinnamon with a slight amaro quality, or what you would find in the bitter ends of coffee. The final taste is very round and finishes long at the end.
