March 19th is the First Day of Spring! Embrace your extra time by planting some new flowers or cutting those new buds and bringing them inside!

Reba’s Top 5 Tips for Long Lasting Cut Flowers in Your Home:

  1. Do not place flowers in direct sunlight or a warm location. They will last longer when kept cool!

  2. Always add flower food to the water according to the instructions to hydrate and nourish the flowers.

  3. Replenish and refresh water/flower food as needed to compensate for evaporation and water uptake.

  4. Give the stems a fresh cut every other day to ensure adequate water uptake.

  5. Mix water and flower food according to instructions – as an improper balance can do more harm than good.
