Souper Dinners

Soup is a staple on the meal preparation list for the winter months!  It offers fantastic variety from traditional comfort foods and provides a savory flavor with every bite!  It is also fun to change-up some favorite soup recipes by substituting typical ingredients on the list with other ingredients that are handy in the refrigerator.  Simply changing a few ingredients can make it seem like a completely new recipe.

Chicken noodle, ham bone, minestrone, or wonton soup are always front runners on the soup list at our house.  However, it is fun to surprise the family with other unexpected soup options.

During a recent Pinterest search for some soup idea inspiration, I stumbled across a recipe for a Paleo and Whole30 Hamburger Soup.  Two highlights of this soup are it’s loaded with vegetables (a great way for our kids to get at least a few servings of daily veggies) and it’s bursting with flavor.  Leftovers are highly unlikely with this recipe but if you do, the flavors seem to intensify two-fold overnight once refrigerated.  This hearty soup option can be found here: https://oursaltykitchen.com/veggie-packed-whole30-hamburger-soup/
