The Truly Thanksgiving: a unique fall cocktail from Jeptha Creed distillery

Skip the wine this Thanksgiving, and serve your guests something with a little more punch. The Truly Thanksgiving is a twist on the classic prohibition-era cocktail, Lion’s Tail. Jeptha Creed Straight 4-Grain Bourbon, first released in the spring of 2019, is made with heirloom Bloody Butcher corn and conveys complex and rich palate with notes of vanilla, nutmeg, clove, and toasted pecans. In the Truly Thanksgiving, the bourbon marries beautifully with Allspice Dram, a dark, and delectably spicy liqueur from the Caribbean. Add simple syrup, lime juice, and egg whites to create a creamy, subtle, spiced cocktail that pairs perfectly with the traditional flavors of the holidays. Truly Thanksgiving

Ingredients

2 oz Jeptha Creed Bourbon

¼ oz Allspice Dram

¾ oz simple syrup

¼ oz lime juice

Egg white

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients and ice into shaker. Shake until cold. Strain shaker contents into a coupe glass and serve.

  2. Make preparation simple by batching all of the ingredients aside from the egg white, and then shaking to order. Vegans can use aquafaba, or omit the egg for the same delicious flavor with a slightly different mouthfeel, top with some partially whipped cream to add a little smooth sweetness. Cheers!
