Saying Goodbye!

Two MCFM farmers who have been with us since we opened in 2006 retired from farmers markets after the 2020 season.

NorYeng and Kaylee of NorYeng Chang Garden have retired from farming after a decades-long career. Please join us in celebrating all they have contributed to the market by signing a memory book we will have at the Information Booth all month.

2020 was also Loon Organics' final season at the market, which we celebrated with them last October. Laura and Adam are continuing to farm and offer CSA shares but are taking a step back from markets to spend more time with their family.

We will miss both of these vendors dearly. The train shed will not feel the same without their warm smiles, beautiful product and leadership in the market community. While goodbyes are always difficult, we want to focus our emotions on appreciating all these vendors have done to help build our market over the past 15 years and to celebrate the next generation of farmers market vendors.

On our website, you can read about our 80+ farmers and makers, including our 6 new vendors and search options for finding produce farmers and growing certifications like USDA Organic.

Looking forward to a new season and new faces as our local, sustainable food systems continues to grow.

Our Vendors

Oven Roasted Parsnips

Though we think of parsnips as a fall vegetable, those that have been left to “over-winter” and harvested after the thaw, are sweetest. Pan roast them until their edges are caramelized and they’re tender. Serve as a side dish, mash with potatoes, or toss with greens.
