OPEN SATURDAYS, 8 AM – 1 PM

(8-9 AM for immunocompromised shoppers)

The State of Minnesota considers farmers markets essential grocery providers, and we plan to remain open to serve our community Saturdays May through October unless otherwise directed by officials. Farmers markets are a vital part of our food system and are essential to our farmers.

MCFM is closely following State and CDC recommendations to keep our market safe. We are requiring face masks or coverings, not allowing food or drink to be consumed on-site, and have created more rules to keep the farmers and community safe this season.

Accepting Pre-orders - ACCEPTING PREORDERS FOR 6/20

The State of Minnesota considers farmers markets essential grocery providers, and we plan to remain open to serve our community every Saturday, May through October unless otherwise directed by officials. Preorders create a more efficient shopping experience for vendors and customers but are not required. All vendors will also be offering traditional walk-up sales. In order to allow time to prepare orders, vendors have set their own deadlines for preorders–most being Friday morning or in some cases earlier. You can find more information on each vendor’s preorder page.

FARMER RELIEF FUND

The Mill City Farmers Market Charitable Fund (MCFM-CF) has established a Farmer Relief Fund to provide assistance to local farms severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this relief program is to help keep regenerative family farmers on the land, producing nourishing food for all.

With institutions like schools and restaurants closing, farmers are already seeing the coronavirus’ impact on their livelihoods. Losing these accounts (which typically account for anywhere from 20 to 90% of a small farm’s income), along with declining numbers of wholesale orders from specialty stores, fewer customers at farmers markets and the inherent small margins in which these farms operate are adding up to extreme financial hardship.

MCFM-CF has established a Farmer Relief Fund to provide support for the hardworking farmers in our region whose income has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to provide emergency aid to farmers. 100% of donations will support sustainable farmers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
