Laura Frerichs co-owns and operates Loon Organics, a 40-acre certified organic vegetable farm in Hutchinson, MN, with husband, Adam Cullip and their 3-year old son, Eli.
The LOON ORGANICS mission is TO NOURISH MIND, BODY, AND SOIL. Their produce feeds a passionate and devoted 200-member CSA, the Mill City Farmers Market in Minneapolis, select farm-to-table restaurants, food co-ops, and to The Food Group’s “Harvest for the Hungry” Program.
The farm also includes 3 hoop houses for seasonal extension, a host of small electric-converted tractors, a small flock of laying hens, several hives of honeybees, and a mischievous Chocolate Lab named Toblerone.
Laura is a well-known presenter at organic farming conferences, consults, and serves on committees and boards of several agriculture advocacy organizations throughout the Midwest. She loves anything to do with food!
