LEMON CASSIS MARTINI
1/4 c. Vodka
1 t. sugar
1 t. creme de cassis
1 blackberry, for garnish
Squeeze 1 teaspoon of juice from the lemon and use a vegetable peeler to peel away a 2-inch strip of the zest. Reserve the remaining lemon rind.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, lemon juice, sugar, creme de cassis, and lemon zest, cover, and shake until very cold. Rub the reserved lemon rind around the lip of a large martini glass and strain the martini into it. Add the blackberry and serve.
