Getting Saucy for Grilling Season!

Memorial Day weekend marks the official bell ring of grilling season. I know for some that season never ends, but here in the bold north we optimize the summer months to fire up the BBQ on the regular.
The star of the show if often what’s on the grill from ribs, chicken, or veggies everyone has their favorites. But let’s be honest what really brings out the personality of the grill star is the sauce or rub that’s used.
This year I’m committed to diving into new flavors and less processed ingredients by making more of my own DIY sauces. It’s a great way to experiment and to eat healthier at the same time. Since it wouldn’t be summer without a refreshing dessert, I’ve also included a rhubarb-based sauce that can work for grilled chicken, or to top vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt. Hope you enjoy!
