Herbed Iced Tea

3 bag Decaf tea bag
1 bunch Fresh mint sprigs
1-cup Fresh lemon verbena leaves, packed well
4 large stalks Fresh lemon grass, sliced into 1" pieces and smashed
¼ cup sugar
Lemon or lime slices
Additional herbs, for garnish
Bring the water to a boil. While water is heating prep the rest of the ingredients. Turn off the heat and add to the the hot water the tea bags, sugar and herbs and stir to mix well. Let steep for 5-10 minutes and then cool completely.
Place 4-5 ice cubes in a glass and pour the cooled tea over it, through a strainer. Garnish with a few herbal leaves and a slice of lemon or limes.
Cook’s Notes: For an adult cocktail add ½ cup or more of alcohol of your choice: bourbon, gin, rum or tequila to suggest a few.
