Gingerbread Candy Canes and Flowers

by Reba Berge, Tastemaker in Residence

Ingredients

White Pine

Flat Cedar

3 Red Roses

3 Red Carnations

Red Mini Carnations

White Cushion Poms

3 Candy Canes

1 Bow

¼ block Oasis

Gingerbread Mug

Instructions

  1. White Pine, Flat Cedar, White Poms, Roses and Carnations create a palate of red/white/green that’s easily placed into the Oasis. Use any ribbon you like with a similar color palette for the bow, then add as many candy canes as you like. You’re done!

  2. Using a gingerbread mug gives this arrangement a second life (for cocoa) as well as a great way to spruce up the younger crowds table. If you happen to find mini-mugs, that could be a takeaway gift for each kid/teenager!

Flower Design Note - Be sure to soak the Oasis in water long enough to saturate it and don’t forget to water it, especially the first few days. You could also substitute a small Poinsettia plant if you run out of time.
