Teri's Travels - Bequia

by Teri E. Popp, Tastemaker in Residence

From time to time, my husband and I visit new and exciting places by virtue of "purchasing" an auction item at a charity event.  This allows us to not only visit someplace we may not have otherwise traveled, but gives us an opportunity to support a number of different charitable organizations.  And, because of this practice, we ended up on the lovely island of Bequia (pronounced Beckway).

Bequia, part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and located slightly south and west of Barbados, lies not far off the coast of Venezuela.  The second largest island of the Grenadines, measuring 7 square miles, Bequia offers a quaint, tropical, relaxing getaway with miles of brilliant aqua blue beaches.

And then? Lunch at Sugar Reef.
