Ingredients
3 lbs chicken wings, trimmed and separated at joint
1 cup bourbon (Maker’s Mark is a good choice)
1-12-oz can frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1 Tbsp maple syrup
Garnish with 2 scallions, thinly sliced and 2 apple slices, diced

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients (except garnish) in a medium sauce pan. Bring to boil on high heat, reduce to simmer for 40 minutes or until the wings are tender and the glaze has reduced, coating the wings.
  2. Preheat oven to 325°.  Remove wings from pan and place on parchment lined sheet tray.  Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until the glaze becomes shiny.
  3. Garnish with scallions and apple and serve.
