by Brenda Langton, Tastemaker in Residence

This is so easy and fast…delicious with yogurt and granola for breakfast a snack or dessert.

Ingredients

3 large Apples cut into thick slices, leave the skin on
1/3 cup Raisins
½ cup water
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup, Honey or Organic Sugar
¼ tsp Cinnamon
pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Use a skillet so fruit doesn’t get stacked to high and can cook really quickly.
  2. Put al ingredients in skillet, bring to a boil, cover and turn to low heat for 3-5 minutes. Let sit covered for a few more minutes.
  3. Some varieties of apples may take a little longer.
