There are many things to appreciate about the end of summer and beginning of fall, but for most people, it culminates in the main event… the Minnesota Sweet Corn peak season is here. The abundance of this crop allows us to try or create a plethora of different recipes, from heading to the Minnesota State Fair to snag a piece of buttery corn on the cob all the way to making your own homemade sweet corn ice cream. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we said it. Sweet corn ice cream. And, we have tried it. It is delicious. So, when you are driving and see a cute little farm stand on the side of the road, you will be doing yourself a favor by picking up some corn and making one of these great recipes. If you decide not to make something and would rather eat out, try a dish that has corn in it. Remember, right now is peak season for this delicious plant!
