Fruit Freezer Refresher

My summer go to.....perfect for any sultry day.

Fresca or diet 7 UP
1 quart basket raspberries 
1 cantaloupe scooped into balls
I bunch fresh mint leaves


  1. Wash and sort raspberries. Place on a cookie sheet and freeze; then place berries in a ziplock bag in freezer. Same process with cantaloupe balls.
  2. Wash fresh mint leaves, then put into ice cube tray; about 6 to 8 leaves per cube. Add water to cover and freeze. (This can be done 2 to 3 days prior to usage.)
  3. When in need of cool refreshment, put 4 to 5 frozen raspberries in a tall glass with 3 to 4 frozen cantaloupe balls and 3 minted ice cubes. Pour either Fresca or Diet 7 UP over to fill glass.


Cook’s Note
The thawing fruit releases flavor along with the mint cubes. I like to use a long spoon to bruise the mint leaves as the cubes melt.
