There is nothing I like more than a good taco. I’ve given it a lot of thought and tacos really are my very favorite food. They’re delicious! You know what else is delicious? Food truck food. And I’ll be the first to say, there is little in this world better than a good food truck taco.

My very favorite taco truck is the Raspas El Payasito truck in College Station, Texas. It posts up on Northgate every weekend night and sells some of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. They’re flavorful, juicy, oh so fresh, and perfectly delicious. They use the traditional home made corn tortillas, but they’ll also give you a fluffy flour tortilla if you ask. The beef is perfectly marinated and they aren’t stingy with the cheese or cilantro. They always come with a sliced key lime on the side. The truck offers 3 types of sauce: red, green, and habanero. All of them are good, but if you don’t mind the heat, the habanero is the best. They keep it in a cooler though, so it has to be requested. Beware, it’s hot… I got it in my eye once and thought that was the end!

Raspas El Payasito is in the perfect location, because Northgate is the strip of bars in College Station. There’s always a line after 10:00 pm, but the wait is fast and the food is worth it. If you ever make a trip to College Station, take my advice and get tacos from this taco truck. You won’t regret it!
